Baby gorilla Jameela is reunited with new big brother and the rest of the zoo’s troop!

Cleveland, Ohio – Baby gorilla Jameela is getting along great with her brand new family in the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo!

On Saturday, the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo shared a heartwarming video on Instagram featuring their beloved baby gorilla, Jameela.

The video shows Jameela’s successful introduction to her adoptive mother, Fredrika – or Freddy – and the rest of the group, including her new big brother, Kyembe.

Jameela, who was orphaned shortly after birth, is thriving under her new mother’s care. Clips in the video show the adorable baby resting comfortably in Freddy’s arms.

Later scenes show Jameela enjoying a ride on her adoptive mother’s back, while her brother Kyembe playfully hangs out nearby.

There’s even a special shot of Freddy cuddling her new baby while holding Kyembe’s hand, which sent fans over the edge.

“Freddy is a special soul,” one person wrote.

Another commenter who couldn’t get enough of the special video wrote that Freddy is “mom of the year” and that Kyembe deserves a treat for being such a good brother.

The effort of the zoo to the well-being of Jameela and her new family has clearly paid off, and animal lovers can’t wait to see what comes next!
