Attack of the Leeches exhibit at the MS Museum of Natural Science

SUMMARY: Harris Mun, a beloved second- and third-grade teacher at Newton County Elementary School, passed away in early April after a battle with melanoma. An infectious laugh and competitive spirit made her memorable to friends and colleagues. Mun was heavily involved in the community, especially youth sports. Her perseverance and enthusiasm were admired by everyone, and colleagues rallied around her when she was diagnosed with cancer. The school community fondly remembers Mun as a warrior who lived life to the fullest with unwavering faith.
