Moped driver transported to hospital after accident

BRISTOL – A moped driver was seriously injured and taken to the hospital Friday after a crash on Hill Street, officials said.

Bristol Fire Chief Richard Hart said the crash occurred Friday afternoon when a moped struck the rear of another vehicle at the corner of Hill Street and Pinehurst Road.

Hart said the moped driver was seriously injured and had to be flown to Hartford Hospital by LifeStar helicopter.
