Obituary of Glenda Loureiro – Concord, CA (1937-2024)

Glenda Fay Loureiro passed away peacefully in her sleep after a short, courageous battle with cancer. Loving mother and devoted wife, married for 69 years to a wonderful loving and supportive husband. She touched so many lives with her infectious smile, inspiring can-do attitude, sense of humor and graceful dance moves. Family gatherings brought so much joy into her life. Glenda was an amazing woman who embodied the best of qualities: her unconditional love, the strength of spirit, the infinite generosity, which was reflected in the way she cared for her family and countless others who were blessed to have known her. Her death comes as a great shock and deep wound to our hearts, and is deeply felt by those who knew and loved her. Glenda was born in Bruce Mississippi, the child of seven children, and moved to California at the age of seven. in everything she did, from sewing, cooking to raising seven children. Anyone who knew her remembers the fun Halloween, Christmas and New Year’s parties she hosted where she danced the night away. She enjoyed music in the park with her family and friends. Strong and mighty, our dancing queen. Glenda is survived by her loving husband, Bernard, devoted children Jeanette (predeceased) Theresa (predeceased) (Fred predeceased) Kim (Ioane) of Concord, Cathy (Jeff) of Martinez, Sue (Craig) of Omaha NE, Chris (Kat) of Plumas Lake, Starla (wife of predeceased Frank) of Martinez, grandchildren, Tami (Andrew), Brian (Carolyn), Michael (Amy), Michelle, Telah, Troy, Tyler, Anika, Shannon, Justin, Brandon (Lindsey), David , Shaun (Angela), Kyle and Ben, brother Dane from Nevada. Great-grandchildren Elizabeth, Mathew, Ashley and Caleb, and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
