‘Chardikala Diwas’ held at Digiana Ashram

JAMMU, Apr 21: ‘Chardikala Diwas’ of Dera Nangali Sahib, Poonch was held today at Gurudwara Digiana Ashram, Jammu.
The Celebration Committee for the Religious Function at Digiana Ashram organized this grand event under the supervision of Mahant Manjit Singh, Head Priest of Dera Nangali Sahib, Poonch. A large number of members of the Sikh community and various Sikh bodies participated and prayed at the ‘Chardikala’ of Dera Nangali Sahib.
Various ‘Ragis’ and religious personalities participated and highlighted the achievements of Dera Nangali Sahib and appreciated the role of Dera Nangali Sahib for the betterment in religious and educational fields and for maintaining love and brotherhood among different sections of the society.
Sudershan Singh Wazir, Chairman of the Sikh United Front, said that the Mahant Manjit Singh preached Sikhism in and outside India and the people of J&K can never forget the achievements of the Dera for rendering selfless service. He appreciated the role of head priest for rendering selfless service to the society.
Mahant Manjit Singh expressed his gratitude to the participants who came from different parts of Jammu province to attend the religious programme. He said that the Sikh Coordination Committee, which was constituted for the betterment of the people and resolution of the long pending problems of the Sikh community, was involved in serving its narrow interests and personal demands rather than resolving the real problems of the Sikh community. On this occasion, Mahant Manjit Singh dissolved the Sikh Coordination Committee, J&K, with immediate effect.
Dr. Jaswant Singh, Lakhbir Singh Baba, Prof. Hardev Singh and Hardit Singh also spoke on the occasion and presented ‘Saroopa’ to Mahant Manjit Singh.
Prof. Narinder Singh, Chairman DGPC Poonch, Prof. Hardayal Singh, Chairman DGPC Rajouri, Dr. Netar Singh, Rajinder Singh, Karan Singh Bali Member DGPC Jammu, Avtar Singh Member DGPC Jammu. Mohinder Singh, Darbinder Singh, Dr. Surjeet Singh, Ravinder Singh, Gajan Singh and others were also present on the occasion.
