Home and Away’s Sarah Roberts confirms divorce from James Stewart

Former Home and away star Sarah Roberts has confirmed her divorce from husband and former co-star James Stewart.

Speak with Stellar, the actress revealed that the couple had officially split after five years of marriage, telling the publication: “Sometimes people grow apart and that’s okay… I got to a point where I realized I couldn’t grow the way what I wanted within this particular relationship.”

The confirmation of the couple’s separation follows more than a year of speculation by fans that James and Sarah had secretly split The Daily Telegraph first referring to the couple’s possible breakup after highlighting James’ absence from the 2022 AACTAS red carpet.

While Sarah’s reps denied rumors that she and James had split, fans continued to speculate about the couple’s relationship status, with many drawing attention to the fact that they had not appeared on each other’s social media since February 2023.

Her posts Stellar story on social media, friends and fans flooded the comments with support for Sarah’s next chapter.

“Yes girl. I’m very proud of you!!! It’s so beautiful to see you shine again, you deserve nothing but the best,” wrote The bachelorette star Sam Frost.

“I love you so much my friend, your strength is inspiring,” he added Home and Away hair and makeup designer Laura Vazquez.

News of James and Sarah’s divorce comes more than five years after the couple tied the knot in Ireland in July 2019.

“We could easily have gotten married under a tree by some water or in a field in the hills – anywhere! But this was magical,” James said WHO shortly after the big day.

“I wanted it to be a celebration of love and the most important thing for us is that our families come together and we’re all together and everyone just has a good time,” Sarah continued.
