Raclette Igloo Experience invites you to indulge in unique French cuisine

Adelaideans, known for their love of exceptional food and wine, can soon embark on a journey through the snowy Alps without leaving Festival Plaza.

Following hugely successful sell-out events in major Australian cities, the Raclette Igloo Experience makes its delicious debut in Adelaide, offering an unforgettable culinary adventure for cheese lovers and foodies alike.

The immersive event promises to take guests to the snow-capped peaks of the French Alps, one delicious bite at a time.

It transforms Festival Plaza into a winter wonderland, inviting guests to step into private igloos named after renowned French ski resorts, setting the stage for an exclusive and intimate dinner.

Upon arrival, they are greeted by the soft snowflakes, the spicy aroma of mulled wine and the enchanting glow of Christmas lights stringing through the pine trees.

Vincent Hernandez, the man behind the Raclette Igloo Experience, says: “raclette is not just a meal – it is a French tradition of sharing, laughing and enjoying”.

“Some of my fondest memories are gathered around the raclette grill with my friends and family, savoring the delicious flavors and enjoying each other’s company,” he said.

“With the Igloo Raclette experience, we’re bringing that same warmth and joy to Adelaide, allowing people to create unforgettable memories together – while indulging in lots of cheese.”

Inspired by his own fond memories of family gatherings around the raclette grill, Hernandez wants to recreate that same warmth and coziness and invite guests to create lasting memories.

Led by French-speaking staff, guests are ushered into a world of indulgence, where raclette cheese, straight from the French Alpine regions, takes center stage in a celebration of tradition, camaraderie and culinary delight.

With up to two kilos of this beloved cheese, complemented by a range of meats, boiled potatoes, pickled onions and cornichons, guests are treated to an authentic taste of French gastronomy.

To complete the celebration, each participant is offered a glass of mulled wine, perfectly combined to enhance the flavors of the raclette dish.

As the evening draws to a close, guests can gather around a crackling fire pit to roast giant marshmallows, a fitting end to an evening of gastronomic delights and Alpine charm.
