Duluth police: man deliberately drives into ‘Super One Foods’

The suspect is suspected to be an employee of Super One

DULUTH, Minn. – A driver is facing multiple charges after crashing into a Super One Foods in Duluth Saturday morning.

Later in the day, a boarded-up front entrance could be seen.

Police told FOX 21 the 48-year-old man driving the vehicle is believed to be an employee of the store who was experiencing a mental health crisis.

Police say the crash was intentional.

An employee cleaning the floor of the store was slightly injured.

The driver was arrested after visiting a local hospital for examination.

The suspect’s name has not yet been released Sunday.
