Siblings arrested for missing penis

Two siblings have been arraigned before the Awutu Breku District Court charged with two counts of conspiracy to commit a crime, publishing false news and assaulting Sampson Nii Annan Oku, an artist over claims he helped investigate the disappearance of had caused someone’s penis.

They are Ugochukwu Chilota, a 20-year-old trader and Favor Chilota, a 24-year-old saleswoman.

Ugochukwu faces additional charges of causing unlawful damage and theft.

They have pleaded not guilty before the court presided over by Naomi AA Kuntour.

The court has remanded them in custody until May 2, 2024.

Meanwhile, the Court ordered the prosecution led by Assistant Superintendent of Police Thomas Sarfo and Superintendent Bernice Wei Kpuusuu to file their disclosures and serve the same on the suspects.

The prosecutor told the court that the complainant was an artist working for Indomie Ghana Company, who was in Kasoa for a project.

It said the suspects were siblings living in the Kasoa Pink FM area.

On April 14, 2024, at about 8:30 p.m., the suspects were walking together at Kasoa Overhead while the complainant and his brother, a witness in the case, also walked behind them looking for footwear to buy.

Adding to this, the prosecutor said the complainant accidentally touched Ugochukwu.

It said Uogochukwu suddenly claimed that his manhood had disappeared as a result of the touch.

The prosecutor told the court that the defendants suddenly rushed at the complainant and Favor held the complainant’s neck and together with Ugochukwu demanded that the complainant get his penis back.

The court heard that the complainant denied the allegation and the two accused started beating him, resulting in the complainant losing his Techno Keypad worth GH¢100.

The prosecutor said people who arrived at the scene participated in assaulting the complainant.

The court was told that the defendants took the complainant to the Kasoa CBD police station and reported the matter.

The prosecutor said Kasoa CBD Station Officer Chief Inspector Kwabena Gyasi and Detective Sergeant Eric Edumadzie immediately physically examined Ugochukwu’s manhood and found it intact and arrested the two suspects to assist in the investigation.

The prosecutor told the court that a medical form was issued to the complainant to seek medical treatment.

According to the prosecution, Ugochukwu was examined by Dr. Patrick Bediako of Saint Gregory Hospital and he described Ugochukw’s manhood as “normal in size without deformities”.
