A $25 dupe of a celebrity favorite

Now that we are really heading into winter weather, it is time to think about purchasing some warmer clothing. One piece that has gone particularly viral recently is Kmart’s Sherpa Button jacket, which shoppers are loving thanks to its similarity to a fleece jumper that has been worn by a number of celebrities.

The designer item in question is Free People’s Hit The Slopes Jacket, which costs almost $250 Australian dollars at current USD exchange rates. The coat has been spotted on celebrities such as Hailey Bieber and Kaia Gerber. The Free People jacket seems popular for its many different color options (16 to be exact) and is praised for its soft and warm material, making it a perfect winter piece, especially for cold walks outdoors.

The problem is that all Australians would have to spend hundreds of dollars for the jacket, plus the exorbitant shipping costs involved. However, the Kmart option offers a much cheaper solution.

Kmart’s Sherpa Button women’s jacket (seen here) is almost identical in style to the Free People design, with mismatched pockets and a teddy fleece fabric. The listing also shows that the Sherpa sweater has elastic cuffs, a high neck and snap buttons.

The best part is that this designer sweater only costs $25. That said, the Kmart dupe is available in a few fewer colors, with just four options: Biscotti Brown, Frost White, Watermelon Red, and Black.

Kmart has gained notoriety in recent months for its selection of designer dupes, with everything from Stanley Cup imitations to Dyson Airwrap equivalents going so viral that they are difficult to find on shelves.
